When Kindness Visits

There were smiles and quiet joy that filled the pediatric oncology ward at Mary Johnston Hospital during the visit of Dr. Glen Vives and her aunt, Amariles Respicio last April 28. Their positive presence filled in every corner of the unit and the young cancer warriors and their caretakers visibly felt it.

Doc Glen and Tita Amy shared gifts and, more importantly, moments of kindness. The visit became a breath of fresh hope — precisely what the children and their families needed. It served as a gentle reminder that they are not alone in their difficult journey.
